Когда пишется "make", а когда "makes"?

makes-he,she,it

1) The teacher told us that we would have to work hard the next day.
2) My girlfriend told me that she would not be able to go for a walk with me beacuse she was very busy that day.
3) She asked me how long I was going to stay in the country.
4) He told me that he liked* to go to the canteen during the break.
5) He asked me when I would go to the canteen. 

liked* - в данном случае допустимо оставить глагол like без изменения в том случае, если он несёт информацию, которая является истинной и по сей момент. Другими словами, если "ему" нравилось тогда и нравится сейчас ходить в столовую во время перерыва, то в косвенной речи мы можем оставить like.

2. When the manager came (Past Simple Active) in, the terms of delivery were being discussed (Past Continuous Passive) by the experts.
3. The book was published (Past Simple Passive) last year.
