My favorite sport is figure skating. He is part of the Olympic sports. Athletes act alone or in pairs. This is a very beautiful sight. The performance is accompanied by magic music. Athletes are dressed in bright costumes. Preparing for performances requires a lot of time for training, perseverance. My family is very fond of watching TV appearances. I always worry when judges put their grades on the participants. I also dream of learning to skate.

Спортсмени одягнені у яскраві костюми. Підготовка до виступів вимагає багато часу для тренувань, наполегливості. Моя родина дуже любить дивитися виступи по телевізору. Я завжди хвилююсь, коли судді виставляють оцінки учасникам. Я також мрію навчитись кататись на ковзанах.

Travelling expands our outlook. You find out the new places, acquaint with the other cultures, so it's so great to travel. Also travelling gives you an opportunity to meet new people. For many people travelling is their hobby, these persons have been travelling for all their life, it's some kind of a lifestyle for them. Nowadays people try to find free time for travelling, because most of them think that it's really useful. There are no doubts that it's so useful for your brain, 'cause your memory becomes better. I agree with this point of view. When you are travelling, you should connect with those persons which don't speak on your native language, so you must find out the main words from the different languages. When you see a lot of amazing landscapes, buildings etc, you understand what is the beauty and you start to appreciate it. A new lifestyle during your travelling allows you to think about your daily problems and maybe you'll find a solution and make a decision to change something on your life. So, I suppose that everyone should make an effort to travelling, because it's the best way of a pastime. 

People use various means of communication to get from one place to another.

In the old days people had to travel several days, weeks and months to get to the place they needed. They either went on foot, by coaches driven by horses or on horseback or by boats and ships. Then trains, trams, cars, buses, airplanes, underground and other means appeared.

Many people like to travel by air as it is the fastest way of travelling. A lot of people like to travel by train because they can look at passing villages, forests and fields through windows. Some people like to travel by car. There they can go as slowly or as fast as they like. They can stop when and where they want.

People who live in big cities use various means of communication to get from one place to another.
Do you know what means of communication Londoners use? Londoners use the underground railway. They call it 'the tube'. London's underground is the oldest in the world. It was opened in 1863.



Londoners use buses. The first bus route was opened in London in 1904. Today there are hundreds of routes there. The interesting thing is that some of the routes are the same as many years ago. London's buses are double-decked buses.

Londoners do not use trams, though London was the first city where trams appeared. And now it is one of the biggest cities in the world where there are no trams. The last tram left the streets of London many years ago.

Londoners use cars. You can see a lot of cars in London streets.

When Londoners leave the town, they use trains, ships or airplanes.
