Baurzhan Momyshuly was a Kazakh- Soviet military officer and author, pasthumously awarded with the titles Hero of the Soviet Union and People's Hero of Kazakh. He was born on the 24th of December in 1910. A family of nomadic herders from the Dulat tribe. He lived with his relatives until the age of thirteen. But spent his teenage years in Soviet boarding school. In September 1941, the division was sent to the front in Malaya Vishera, at the vicinity of Leningrad. After the World War, many of his works began to be published. And he died on the 10th of June in 1982 (aged 71).

Канжыгалы Богенбай-батыр, наш национальный герой Казахстана. Батыр родился в 1680 году в семье потомственного батыра.

Богенбай-батыр всю свою жизнь боролся за независимость казахского народа, показывая храбрость в битвах с джунгарами.

В 1729 году произошло крупнейшее сражение с джунгарами — Анракайская битва. Во главе всеказахского ополчения стоял Богенбай вместе молодыми батырами Кабанбаем и Раимбеком. Они применили всё своё мастерство полководцев и разгромили армию джунгар.

Скончался в старости, сидя верхом на коне, на родовом летнем пастбище племени Аргын — на берегу речки Тургай. Позже это место называлось Бөгенбай сөресі - кончина Богенбая.
