Кроме общественных праздников существуют специальные фестивали в Великобритании. Один из них проходит 5 ноября. В этот день в 1605 году, Гай Фокс попытался взорвать здание Парламента и убить короля Джеймса I. Он не сумел. Люди короля нашли бомбу, заточили Гая Фокса в Тауэр и отрубили ему голову.С тех пор британцы отмечают 5 ноября. Они сжигают чучело, сделанное из соломы и старой одежды на костре, и пускают фейерверки. Этот манекен называется "парень" (как Гай Фокс), и часто можно увидеть детей на улицах 5 ноября говорящих: "Пенни для парня". Если они собирают достаточно денег, они могут купить фейерверки.

Besides public holidays there are some special festivals in Great Britain. One of them takes place on the 5th of November. On that day, in 1605, Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill King James I. He didn't succeed. The King's men found the bomb, took Guy Fawkes to the Tower and cut off his head.Since that day the British celebrate the 5th of November. They burn a dummy, made of straw and old clothes, on a bonfire and let off fireworks. This dummy is called a "guy" (like Guy Fawkes) and children can often be seen in the streets before the 5th of November saying, "Penny for the guy." If they collect enough money they can buy some fireworks.

Summer holidays  
Summer holidays are the longest holidays. I like them very much! 
      In June I went to the seaside with my parents. The water in the Black Sea was very warm. We swam and sunbathed. There were different kinds of entertainments there. We also played volleyball on the beach and made sculptures of sand.   
     Then I spent two weeks in the summer camp. I made a lot of new friends. Every day we enjoyed something special - games, competitions, performances.
We had discos every night. It was a real fun.
   In August I visited my grandparents. There I enjoyed fresh air and helped my grandparents to dig the garden, to gather fruit and vegetables. 
   During my summer holidays I made new friends, read a lot of interesting books, knew many useful things.

We have four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn for the year. Spring and autumn is my favourite seasons. I am liked when the birds are flying after cold winter and beginnig sing their wonderful songs at the Spring. And I am liked when the sun beginnig shine and heats me at the Spring. I also like autumn for their beauty. It is a very nice picture when the sheets of trees beginning change their colour on: red, yellow, brown and others colours. It is a wonderful and thats why I like spring and autumn very much.
