Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin was the first cosmonaut in the world. He was born in 1934 in the village in Russia. He was the first man. Yura was a brave boy. His parents worked on the farm.  In 1951 Gagarin graduated from the school near Moscow. Yuri Gagarin attended an aeroclub and began to fly. In 1955 he entered a school for pilots. Then he became a pilot. In 1960 Gagarin began to prepare for the flight into space. On April 12, 1961 Yuri Gagarin flew into space and spent 108 minutes there. He was in the Russian spaceship «Vostok».  Many people all over the world know and love him. Gagarin became a Hero of our country. He died in 1968.
