One of the most remarkable public events in my country is the Victory Day. It is traditionally celebrated on the 9th of May. This patriotic holiday commemorates the victory of the USSR over the Nazi Germany. Every year in honour of this day in all cities across the country lots of cheerful parades and celebrations are held. Despite the fact that the holiday is celebrated in a flamboyant way,May 9 is a sad day for the majority of our population. Many people have lost their loved ones and close relatives during this ruthless war. From one hand everyone is happy that the country wasn’t occupied by the fascist invaders, from the other hand everyone grieves over their loss. On this day we are grateful to our saviors, to those who sacrificed their lives for us. That’s why we try to celebrate his day withhonours. Some part of younger generation doesn’t  understand the importance of this event, which I think is disrespectful. In my opinion, the Victory Day is one of the greatest holidays during the year. Some of my ancestors also took part in the Great Patriotic war of 1945, and I’m proud of them. 

A big role in a person's life is an art. It is a manifestation and expression of the creative powers of man. In the art of people trying to convey their vision of the world, their feelings, thoughts and ideas through artistic images. Each form of art is its material. The writer — a word, a sculptor of marble, the architect — stone, and the artist — paint. Using these materials, the master creators create works of art. The most remarkable works of great painters are in museums. In the gallery you can see works of art. These are artworks of different genres and very different topics. Here they are combined in chronological order: from earlier periods of development to the present. Each spectator chooses the room that is interesting to him to watch. Placing the paintings in the halls, the Museum staff it is important to consider the nature of the lighting in the room falling on the canvas the sun's rays, which paintings are juxtaposed with each other. Meeting with the works of art always leaves a lasting impression. Walking through the halls of the gallery and looking at paintings, we seem to become familiar with different views of the world of artists from different times and eras. With portraits, we look strict rulers and generals, great ladies and gallant Cavaliers, simple peasants and good-natured children. The artists tried to convey in the portraits not only resemblance, but, above all, the nature, rich inner world of his characters. With the help of a subtle play of light and shadow artists tried to save portraits of the richness of feelings and emotional experiences of his characters. My n&s infinitely long to look each time to grasp the new changes in their mental States. One of the favorite genres of artists was the landscape. The brush can capture the subtlest shades of the world, its changeability and impermanence, paint the sky, rivers and forests. In the paintings of each landscape conveys a special mood. Due to painting we new aware of the beauty and poetry of the world. A series of paintings devoted to the history. The artist is able to see the historical importance of the event, place and role in the history of the individual. Experiences of the artist can help us to plunge into the past, forced to worry and suffer. In painting history appears before us not just facts, in a clear and visible images. The sharp eye of an artist always helps us in a familiar and seemingly uninteresting to see the unique and beautiful. Each artist special sees the world, his look always unusual and poetic. The brush with a rich color palette reflects the beauty of the surrounding world. Meeting with this painting always leaves a lasting impression. I'm starting to look attentively into the surrounding me objects and phenomena and admire their beauty.
