Pupils all over the world ask their parents to help them with their homework and in this case, any task becomes a challenge both for children and their parents. However, homework must be assigned to pupils as it has a positive impact on the development of children's ability to memorise and process useful information.

          To begin with, there is a great number of researches confirming that the process of reiterating information given at school by teachers and proper processing it during doing homework stimulates a child's brain to be active and flexible in searching for ways to solve a task. The information that is found by a child himself during struggling with a task such as for example, doing sums, is memorised much quicker and easier and is kept in his brain for a long time.

          Secondly, it is often felt that doing homework incites pupils to be more self-confident and less dependable on their parents. Children become aware that they are able to do their homework by themselves and this awareness gives them a feeling of confidence when it comes to dealing with other tasks. Thus, it could be said that doing homework not only educates pupils but also makes them individuals who are not afraid to face a difficult problem.

         To conclude, it must be admitted that assigning homework can be regarded as a necessary challenge that pupils have to encounter. And even though doing homework can be viewed by some pupils and as a burden, it must be done by them in an appropriate way. It will not take long for them to understand that doing homework is the best way to study any subject that could be important for his or her future career.
