I’ve been in our family business for thirty years already. Our company _was founded_ (1.found) by my great-grandfather in 1920 and since then we’ve been manufacturing the _most beautiful_ (2. beautiful) furniture in England. We create wardrobes, writing tables, coffee tables, chairs, bookcases and other pieces, all of which are of the highest quality. Our furniture _is designed_ (3.design) in traditional English style and we apply traditional technologies to make it. The furniture is hand-made and that’s why it takes several weeks to make a chair or a coffee table. It’s a difficult job and we employ very skilled _craftsmen_ (4.craftsman) who usually work for the company for many years. Two of our workers _have been working _ (5.work) with us for more than fifty years already and they say that they love their work and are not going to retire yet. I’m also proud of our business because money is not everything for us. Making furniture inevitably implies cutting down trees. If we don’t think about the environment now, our forests _will be cut down_ (6.cut down) by the middle of the century. To prevent it we plant trees in our greenhouse and then put them in the forests. I don’t know what my life would be like if I had chosen__ (7.choose) some other career, but I’m glad that I didn’t. I really think that a family business is a great responsibility but a great privilege too.

Earlier I worried about my shape very much. I wasn't pleased with it, but over the time this feeling had passed. On the first of December I got sick with my usual quinsy. For 3 weeks I ate nothing, I only had tea, but just a little. I didn't feel very hungry. During that time I had lost a lot in weight but I still thought that it wasn't enough. Yesterday friends convinced me to come back. Many of them were pleased with my new appearance, but I still eat nothing. It frightens them and everyone says: "I want to give you some food".
