Лес был тёмным.Некоторые из деревьев были столь длинны и широки,как тело человека,и высоко над ним был гигант.Он шёл под гору к реке,и когда он взобрался по другой стороне была прореха в деревьях.Отсюда он мог видеть скалистую западную сторону острова.Откуда-то снизу из леса он услышал другой глубокий крик.Спустя момент крику ответили.Вершины лесных деревьев сдвинулись, а затем снова была тишина. Левайн спустился под другой холм и нашел другую речку. В траве что-то шевелилось. Показался зверек величиной с мышь. Левайн посмотрел на него.
