Отметить верное и неверное( Т и F) Текст: Get a chance to give a speech at the TED Conference! You could win a free trip to see New York and perform at one of the most important events in the world. Five other lucky contestants will receive a prize of £150. As usual, we are looking for public speaking talents. You can speak about whatever you want as long as you provide factually accurate information. For example, last year medicine-related topics were really popular, but the winner talked about time management. Here is some advice for preparing for the competition: Give a performance, not just a speech. A speech is mostly about the words that you speak, but a performance is so much more. It's about your emotions, body language and how you work with the audience. Talk with your audience, not to them. Ask people questions and make them the subject of the question, e.g. "When was the last time you … ?", "How would you feel if ... ?". Don't forget about eye contact. If there are not a lot of people in the audience, try to look each of them in the eye. Eye contact makes a person feel like you are talking personally to them and they react to your speech more emotionally. Use storytelling. Facts told as stories will motivate people and help them remember situations for a longer time. Using stories you will help them to create a change in thinking, instead of just understanding some information. Speak about what you know and like. If you are not interested in your topic, why should your audience be? If you understand that the subject of your speech is boring for you, change it until you feel you like it. If you are going to spend some time and energy on writing and giving a speech, it should be something that is important to you. You should write your speech by yourself, and it should last no longer than 7 minutes. It must be performed in adequate English and be supported by visual aids. We will accept videos of your speech performances both in front of and without the audience. The speech must not have appeared on the Internet or other means of communication before the competition. You can submit your videos on our official website: www.ted.com The closing day is 1 December, and we will get in contact with the winner within a month from this date. We look forward to receiving your ideas that can change the world! Задание: 1.All prize winners will perform at the TED conference. 2.The speech can be on any topic. 3.Participants should remember to check that the information they use is correct. 4.It's only important what participants say, not how they speak. 5.Participants shouldn't look at everybody, it's better to concentrate on one person. 6.Stories can make people think differently. 7.An audience must be present in the entry video. 8.The speech could have been performed on TV or radio.
