I hope you are doing fine. Have you got any news to tell me? You asked me some question and I would like to answer them now.  You asked for my opinion about being independent of my parents.  I think one can hardly be independent when he or she is under 18.  We don't have necessary skills and knowledge to live separately from our parents.  Renting a room or a flat can also cost a lot and only our parents can pay for us.  What about you?  When do you plan to start living separately from your parents? As to leaving parents as soon I finish school, I think I could do  it.  If I enter a good university with good accomodation, living without my parents would be no problem. Though I think I would miss my home, especially during the first months.  Many Russian students who study abroad miss their homes in the beginning.  It is not easy to get used to another country and the language.  And it can take  a lot of time to understand traditions and customs of the new country.  Have you ever studied abroad?  Do you think you could live far from your home for a long time? Well, as for popular holidays they are The New Year's Day, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Victory Day and others. I think you can find a lot of information on this topic on the Net). OK, I'd like to drop a few words about celebration of Easter in our family. You know Easter is one of the most colourful and interesting religious holidays for children and adults in many countries. For our family this holiday is one of the main holidays of the year.  Every year we are looking forward to this day and try to do our best to prepare well for Easter. I always try to take an active part in the preparations for the holiday. Preparations  are always  funny and interesting. We begin to prepare for this holiday in advance. We paint eggs, bake Easter cakes, prepare a lot of other tasty food.  My granny goes to church on Easter. She always buys chocolate eggs or bunnies for my brother and for me. We usually have a holiday dinner with our relatives on this day. I love this holiday.Now, you've mentioned the ceremony devoted to your finishing of school and I wonder if it usually takes place at school or in some other place.
