My dear friend I invite you to my favorite city called Nizhny Novgorod. This city owes you like it. He is known as a major center for shipbuilding, aviation, automotive and information technology. In the period from 1959 to 1991 the city was closed to foreigners, but now it is the largest center of river cruise tourism in Russia and the venue for international exhibitions of different profiles on the basis of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. There are more than 600 unique historical, architectural and cultural monuments. This has led UNESCO to include Nizhny Novgorod in the list of 100 cities in the world with great historical and cultural value. The climate in Nizhny Novgorod is temperate continental, with long cold winters and warm, relatively short summer. Many people think that it is enough to know one language, but scientists think it is too little. The world is constantly changing, borders between countries and states is opening, and each of us can visit any country we like. This is one of the arguments in favour of studying foreign languages. In addition, the study of languages develops your attention and memory, broadens your mind, and you feel more educated. I don't think I am a good language learner because I am lazy and I don't like English very much. Of course, it is really great to find out about English people. cities and events. At our lessons we read interesting books, translate from English intо Russian, learn new words.  We speak about interesting people. I understand that English teaches me to think, to speak, it helps me to find friends, but learning English is very difficult for me and takes me so much time. Our English teacher is very good and kind. But it is awful for me to learn English poems and songs by heart, of course, I try but it is waste of time I think. I know that English won't help me in my future profession.  

Многие люди думают, что достаточно знать один язык, но ученые думают,  что это катастрофически мало. Мир постоянно меняется, открываются границы между странами и государствами, и каждый из нас может побывать в любой стране, которая вам нравится. Это один из аргументов, говорящих в пользу изучения иностранных языков. Кроме этого, изучение языков развивает внимание и память, расширяет кругозор, и вы чувствуете себя более образованным. Я не думаю, что я  хорош в изучении языка, потому что я ленивый и не очень люблю английский язык, очень много. Конечно, очень здорово узнавать об англичанах, городах и событиях. На наших занятиях мы читаем интересные книги, переводим с английского на русский язык, учим новые слова. Мы говорим об интересных людях. Я понимаю, что английский учит меня думать, говорить мне найти друзей, но изучение английского языка очень трудно для меня, и занимает у меня столько времени. Наша учительница английского языка очень хорошая и добрая. Но это ужасно для меня выучить английский стихи и песни наизусть, конечно, я стараюсь, но это пустая трата времени, я думаю. Я знаю, что английский не мне в моей будущей профессии.
