Алиса плакала и плакала, и слёзы вокруг неё превращались в глубокий бассейн. Спустя несколько минут она услышала шаги и увидела белого кролика. Он держал веер и пару белых перчаток. Кролик выглядел взволнованным и не заметил Алису.

"Ох, герцогиня разозлится! Я опаздываю!" сказал кролик.

"Извините" - сказала Алиса.

Кролик обернулся и увидел Алису. Он вскрикнул, уронив веер и перчатки, и убежал.

Алиса подобрала веер и перчатки и сказала: "Боже! Как же всё сегодня странно!"

Внезапно она обнаружила, что вновь стала очень маленькой. "Этот веер делает меня меньше!", сказала она и бросила его на пол. "Теперь я могу пройти в дверь!" Она побежала к двери, но та оказалась запертой, а ключ вновь оказался на столе. Алиса попыталась взобраться на стол, но упала и приземлилась в бассейн с водой. "Что это?", сказала она. "Я в море?" Но это было не море. "Это слёзы, которыми я плакала, когда была большой!", сказала Алиса. Именно тогда она увидела, что была в бассейне не одна. В нём была мышь, утка, додо, молодой орёл и множество других странных созданий. Алиса и животные начали плыть и вскоре очутились на берегу бассейна слёз.
