As for me, I like visiting the local zoo, although it’s a small one. You can see various animals and birds there, which is not only entertaining but also educational. There are sparrows, eagles, pigeons, parrots of different colors among the birds. Among the wild animals, you can see tigers, lions, wolves, bears, monkeys - all kept in safe enclosures. There is also an aquarium with a variety of aquatic animals and fishes. Each time I visit this place, it fills me with thrill and excitement. That’s why, zoos are simply necessary for kids, especially the youngest ones. They are still exploring the surrounding environment and animals are part of it. However, I understand that critics of zoos have all the rights to protest against keeping animals in captivity. They advocate animals’ freedom and their right to live in natural habitat instead of small cages. Indeed, it’s unfair to take animals out of their natural environment. More than that, I know that in some countries animals in the zoos are not provided with care and attention and are often undernourished. In developing countries they also don’t get sufficient medical treatment. This fact makes me sad, as I really wish animals could live in good conditions.

The advantages and disadvantages of keeping animals in zoos. 
Most people would agree that zoos are important for the preservation of animals. However many others believe that 
animals are like prisoners in zoos and that the would be happier in their 
natural habitats.Unfoubtedly, this suggestion has both advantages and disadvatages. 
Keeping animals in zoos does indeed have a lot of advantages. First of all, people can see wild, beautiful, exotic 
animals. They can see how animals live and behave. Secondly, animals have good 
life conditions in zoos. They do not starve because they have food and water. People 
take care of animals. Moreover, animals are safe. People do not kill them. Animals 
live as close to the natural habitat as possible. For instance, water and other 
natural barrieres are used to separate animals from each other and from the 
visitors. 
On the other hand, keeping animals in zoos is harmful for them. The animals are forced 
to live in a unnatural habitat. There is not enough living space in the zoos, 
when often makes animals unhappy and restless. It is also true that, some 
animals do not proliferate in zoos. Secondly, animlas should live in freedom, 
because it is their natural habitat. Moreover, animals in the zoos live under 
stress. The worst thing is that animals in the zoos will never be able to 
exsist in their natural habitat alone. They have will not any chance to survive. 
In conclusion, it seems that keeping wild animals in zoos is more benefical than harmful. I think that it is 
profitable for all animals, because they have good protection. They can feel safe.
