There was an exhibition of russian equipment in london last summer. before the exhibition  opened a lot of russian plants had sent their latest models to london and russian experts had arrived to contact british businessmen. representatives of different companies visited the exhibition. mr. bent of stevens & co was interested in excavators. he said his company had done business with machinoexport before and russian equipment always met their requirements. the firm stevens & co was going to.order excavators. after the russian engineers  had got ready their quotation, mr. bent visited the russian trade delegation. as the firm had  accepted the prices and the terms of payment, mr. bent was going to discuss only the terms of shipment and delivery dates. when the representatives had discussed the order of the firm, mr. bent asked in machinoexport would be able to ship the goods on cif terms. he also wanted to find out whether july shipment   suited the sellers. the terms were acceptable to the sellers and the representatives decided to sign the contract the next day.
