When he arrived in Ayodhya, his kingdom, people greeted him by lighting diyas, or oil lights. The Hindu god Krishna is said to have saved sixteen thousand women from slavery in a classic narrative from southern India. Narakasura is a tyrant king. Both stories end with good triumphing over evil. Diwali is also a festival dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi.On Diwali day, I like to go to the temple and pray to Mother Lakshmi. For peace, prosperity, and money, we pray to Goddess Lakshmi. I also dress in new Indian outfits, such as men's kurtas and women's saris.
