HE IS a first -year full -time student of the Academy of Law and Management of the Federal Penal Service Of the Russian Federation. It was opened in October, 1970. The Academy is situated in the centre of the city. It trains workers for correctional institutions (corrections). At present there are three main departments at our Academy: the Law Department, the Psychology Department and the Economics Department. HE STUDIES Law (Psychology, Economics). HE STIUDIES a lot of subjects: the History of the Country, Philosophy, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Penal Law, Administrative Law, the History of the State and Law, the Theory of the State and Law, Detective Criminology, Criminalistics, Activities, English and other subjects (Psychology, Biology, Physiology, Mathematics, Economics, the Theory of Economics, Management, Marketing ). HE ATTENDS physical and combat training classes. HIS working day begins at 8.30 a. m. and is over at 7 p. m. In the morning  HE HAS lectures, tutorials and seminars, and in the afternoon HE can work in the reading - room or laboratories by HIMSELF and prepare for HIS lesson. HE DOESN'T study on Sunday. It is HIS day - off. In winter and in summer HE TAKES credit tests and exams. After exams HE HAS holidays.

movies very much. And my favourite movie is Home Alone. It is an old film, it was made in 1990. But it's very funny and kind. I like the main character in the film. His name is Kevin. He is a little boy and he was accidentally left home alone by his family. But he is a very clever and independent kid. He can cook, clean house, do shopping himself. One day he learns, that some robbers want to rob his house. So he decides to protect the house himself. There are a lot of funny scenes in the film. Kevin makes all kinds of tricks and traps. And the robbers fall into the traps. Then Kevin calls the police and they arrest the robbers. After that Kevin cleans the house, and makes a wish. He asks Santa Claus to return his family. And in the end of the film they all come back. When I was a small kid, I wanted to stay at home alone too. But now I know, that it is just a fantasy.

При этом знакомство с внутренней частью континента в XVI, XVII и первой половине XVIII вв. оставалось незначительным: основную роль в нём играли работорговцы. В начале XIX в. сведения европейцев об Африке южнее Сахары оставались незначительными. Исследования Южной Африки активно продолжались в 1830-1840 годах, и активно развивались во второй половине XIX вв. во время колониального дележа континента. Большую роль в этом процессе играли поиски истоков Нила.
