Past Continuous (ще його називають Past Progressive) - це минуле тривалий час. Іншими словами, це час, який вказує на процес, що тривав в певний момент або період в минулому.

Для розуміння: Наприклад, якщо ви вчора забігли в магазин на п'ять хвилин, щоб купити найнеобхідніше, то ви скажете просто: «Я сходив в магазин».
