This difficult and responsible profession has always attracted people courageous, selfless, true patriots of their Motherland.

Major Bogdanov A. P., counselor of the border in Afghanistan, were directly involved in combat operations. Courageous border guard officers received several severe wounds, but continued to bravely fight to the end and was killed in the melee. In fight 12 Outpost 13 July 1993, the Moscow border detachment on the Tajik-Afghan border killed 25 guards, six of them were awarded the title of Hero of Russia.
The Russian frontier-guards at the cost of enormous efforts, and sometimes the lives of the soldiers and officers hindered the flow of drugs and weapons from entering the territory of our country. Many of the guards during the fighting in "hot spots" were awarded orders and medals, and 17 of them awarded the title Hero of Russia.
I dream to become a border guard and serve the country as were the characters –the guards during the war and served in peace time. It is a heroic profession. Beautiful profession. Combat profession. It is based on love and devotion to Motherland and readiness to sacrifice themselves.
