1.There are numerous professional bodies offering support, advice and education for the (fledging ) designers.
2. Of course, some designers prefer to remain aloof from communal activities: they see( joining ) design institutions as a step towards (losing ) their independent status and (becoming ) linked to the design establishment;
3. they tend to dismiss professional organizations as smug and (self-admiring ).
4. Others, with more clubbable instincts, camaraderie that come with (banding ) together with like-minded individuals, and become energetic participants.
5. In recent years, they have made conspicuous and vigorous efforts to become more inclusive, with particular emphasis on (helping ) and (encouraging ) students and recent graduates.
6. But, inevitably, in their attempt to become (all-encompassing ), they tend to represent the mainstream;

Washington was founded in 1790 and named after the first US president, George Washington, as the capital of the sovereign states, which is called the United states of America. Washington is the residence of the President and the Congress of the USA. All government departments and numerous federal institutions are housed in the capital. the White house is the President's residence and it is the oldest building of the city. The Capitol, the seat of the Congress is the other main center of the city. The two centers are connected by Pennsylvania Avenue, the main business street of the city. The majority of the state Departments are situated here. Washington, that belongs to the specially created Federal District of Columbia, is always used as the scene for mass demonstrations, and rallies.

В Вашингтоне находится резиденция президента и Конгресс США. Все правительственные ведомства и многочисленные федеральные учреждения располагаются в столице. В Белом Доме находится резиденция президента, и он является самым старым зданием города. Капитолий, резиденция Конгресса является другим главным центром города. Два центра соединены Пенсильвания-авеню, главной торговой улицей города.  Там расположено большинство государственных департаментов.
