We change the raw materials to make the things weuse every day. The plastic in our water bottles and mobile phones comes from oil. The paper in bookscomes from trees, and the metal we use comes from a rock called an ore.How do we get the metal for the girl's bike? We find iron in a rock called iron ore. We put the iron orein a very big oven called a blast furnace. When the furnace is very hot, the metal in the ore changesinto a liquid and comes out of the rock. The melted iron then goes into a different oven called a steelfurnace. In this oven we make a metal called steel. It is stronger than iron. Next we put the liquid steelinto a mould. A mould gives the steel a shape. For the bike we need a mould that makes tube shapesWhen it is cold, we have the frame for the bike. This is the finished product.​

When David was a boy, his hobby was making model 1 aeroplanes. He was not rich, but making them was not very 2 cheap. He enjoyed 3 flying his models in a field near his house. They went up into the 4 sky like big aeroplanes, and sometimes they fell and hit the ground with a big 5 bang. When  he was older, he found a flying 6 club near his home, and he had some 7 lessons there. Sometimes the wind threw the small aeroplane around, but he was never 8 afraid, because he was a 9 brave young man. Once he nearly crashed, and his teacher said, " 10 Jump out!", but he did not, and the aeroplane came down quite well.
