Moreover, there is often no light and people have to go to bed very early. There is often only one school for several villages and (7) have to get up very early and go very far.

Almost all people do not want to be like other people. They search for an individual style, particular clothes and hair styles. However fashion dictates what we wear, anyway. So even if you say that you wear jeans because they are practical, you cannot deny that jeans are popular and stylish nowadays. Some clothes of the past can also be practical however we do not wear them because they are out of fashion. Of course, to some extent, shops follow fashion and trends and thus they dictate what we wear. However nowadays it is possible to buy clothes which are out of fashion. But very few people do that. So, to some extent, almost all people are slaves to fashion. It means that it is not important to buy the expensive haute couture of the Milan fashion houses to be fashionable

I think everyone notices that every fashion goes through some stages. When something new and trendy appears, it can shock and excite. Some people even do not want to accept it. Gradually that thing becomes more and more popular. All shops sell it. Many shops and designers try to make copies of it. However some time later it becomes boring. So, it becomes out of fashion. Sometimes people even cannot understand how they could wear that.

However there is a conception that every fashion is the recurrence of the past fashion. Indeed, nowadays there are some trendy dresses which were popular in the 1950s.

I do not see anything bad in fashion however I think that people should not be the slaves to fashion, anyway.
