The striped tenrek (lat. Hemicentetes semispinosus) is a representative of a very interesting family, called tenrek or bristly hedgehogs. The exterior is really piquant, but this is exactly what a striped tenrek looks like - a small mammal, endemic to Madagascar, living in the eastern and northern parts of the island.
