Reading Dear Laura, I've found a place to live in a house near theuniversity. There are five of us living there, eachwith our own bedroom. My room isn't very big, butthere's a huge kitchen and a living room withsatellite TV. The room didn't have much furniturewhen I moved in – just a bed, an armchair and acupboard - and it's got a green carpet and purplecurtains! Last Saturday I walked down to the shopsto get some food, and saw a lovely old desk in acharity shop for only £50. So now I've got a desk inmy room with my computer and printer on it.Unfortunately, the house has only got one phoneline (in the kitchen) so I'm still using the universitycomputers for e-mail. On Sunday, Mum and Dadcame to visit, and brought me some cushions, acouple of lamps, some bookshelves (the white onesfrom your room) and my sound system. Theythought the place was great. Mum wanted to spendthe afternoon cleaning the kitchen, but we took herout for lunch instead! I really like the other people​
