A double-decker is a bus that has 2 storeys or decks.The red double-decker buses in London have become a national symbol of England.The first double-decker was made in 1847 in UK. It was drawn by horses, typically three horses. Its upper deck was open and didn't have a roof.The upper deck was half price of the  lower covered deck, and was not popular at first. The early double-decker buses had advertisements on their both sides. In 2012 London introduced a new double-decker bus. It has very modern look combined with retro touches and uses the  latest green technology like solar panels.
