Том сойер был непослушным мальчиком, ходил в воскресную школу и любил бекки тэтчер. однажды с друзьями пошёл на кладбище ночью (не помню зачем, какие-то суеверия) , там они стали случайными свидетелями убийства доктора. убил индеец джо. потом тому снились кошмары про убийство, был суд и тома вызвали как свидетеля (он поклялся на библии говорить только правду) , он и рассказал правду. присутствовавший в суде индеец джо сбежал через окно и исчез. тем временем том с бекки и другими друзьями пошли на пикник, а том и бекки ушли в пещеру и там заблудились. когда том ищет выход, он видит там индейца джо и соображает, где спрятан клад. позже они с другом геком возвратились в пещеру и забрали деньги. индеец джо погиб в пещере, т. к. вход в неё заколотил отец бекки. tom sawyer was a disobedient boy, went to sunday school and loved becky thatcher. once with friends went to the cemetery at night (i do not remember why, some superstitions), where they became casual witnesses to the murder of the doctor. kill the indian joe. then tom had nightmares about the murder, there was a trial and tom was summoned as a witness (he swore on the bible only to tell the truth), he told the truth. the indian, who was present at the trial, escaped through the window and disappeared. meanwhile, tom and becky and other friends went on a picnic, and tom and becky went into the cave and got lost there. when tom looks for a way out, he sees an indian joe there and thinks where the treasure is hidden. later, he and friend huck returned to the cave and took the money. the indian joe was killed in the cave, since becky's father hammered the entrance to it.
