The article begins with a presentation of the main aspects of big data processing and their relationship with cloud storage. The purpose of this article is to introduce the reader to such concepts as storage and processing of big data, cloud technologies and computing environments and their application. The also much attention is given to problems related to cloud technologies and storing big data in the cloud. It is specially noted question privacy and security of big data storage. The paper presents a brief review of the possible consequences of insufficient data protection, as well as the requirements for data protection when stored in the cloud. The final part of the paper discusses the prospects for further development of big data and cloud storage technology. This article is of interest both for people working in the field of information technology, and for anyone who somehow works with information.
