Henry Baker tells Holmes thathe got the goose from Mr Windigate at TheAlpha5 A tall man with a hat is walking with agoose over his shoulder. A young man hitsthe man and his hat falls off. The man runsaway and leaves his hat and goose in thestreet. Mr Peterson sees this and takes thehat and the goose. -6 James Ryder tells Holmes that he stole thediamond and put it in one of his sister'sgeese. Later he took a goose and openedit up, but it was the wrong goose and itdidn't have the diamond in it. His sister, Mrs Oakshott, had sold the goose with thediamond to Mr Breckinridge.7 Holmes and Watson talk to the man fromMr Breckinridge's shop. His name is JamesRyder and he is the Assistant Manager ofthe Cosmopolitan Hotel.8 At Mr Breckinridge's shop, Holmes andWatson see a man there. The man asks MrBreckinridge about the geese. He says one ofthe geese was his and he wants it.​
