Task. Translate the sentences with a passive verb into Russian:  1) A new house was being built when I came to Minsk.2) This article was being typed all day long.3) The cake was being cooked when the guests came.4) The flowers were being watered at 8 o’clock in the morning.5) The car was being driven from 3 to 5 o’clock.​

Моя бабушка живёт в небольшом поселке недалеко от Саратова.  Нам очень нравится ездить к ней в гости, потому что есть небольшой лес рядом с бабушкиным домом. Там есть и очень красивая река, где мы можем отдохнуть и летом, и зимой. Недавно мы с папой решили навестить бабушку и съездить на зимнюю рыбалку. Мы выехали рано утром и рассчитывали  быть на месте к обеду. Сначала всё было хорошо. Было тепло в машине, любимая музыка звучала, мы с папой болтали обо всём и ни о чём. Вдруг машина как-то странно "чихнула" и остановилась. Папа вышел из автомобиля и открыл капот. Казалось, что всё в порядке, но машина не заводилась. Становилось прохладно, я немного замерз. Папа стал нервничать. Как назло  ни одна машина не проезжала по дороге: все люди сидели в теплых домах в воскресное утро. И вдруг мы увидели огромную грузовую машину. Папа стал размахивать руками и просить, чтобы водитель остановился. К счастью, за рулем сидел добрый человек. Он взял нас на буксир и дотащил нашу машину до бабушкиного поселка. Вместо рыбалки мы весь день, ремонтируя машину, и мы забегали в дом, чтобы погреться и пообедать. К вечеру машина завелась, и мы поехали домой. Это была самая ужасная поездка!  

My grandmother lives in a small village near Saratov. We like to go to visit her, because there is a small forest near my grandmother's house. There is very beautiful river where we can relax in summer or in winter. Last week my dad decided to visit my grandmother and to go ice fishing. We left early in the morning and expected to be in place in time for lunch. At first everything was fine. It was warm in the car, music sounded, my dad and I chatted about everything and nothing. Suddenly the car strangely "sneezed" and stopped. Dad got out of the car and opened the hood. It seemed that everything was fine, but the car wouldn't start. It got cool, I was a little cold. Dad became nervous. Unfortunately there was no car on the road: all people were sitting in their warm houses in Sunday morning. And suddenly we saw a huge lorry. Dad began to wave his arms and ask the driver to stop. Fortunately, the car was driven by a kind man. He took us in tow and dragged our car to my grandmother's village. Instead of fishing we spent the day repairing the car and we ran to the house only to warm up and have lunch. By the evening the car started up and we drove home. It was the worst trip!
