Giraffes are very beautiful and unusual animals. They are the tallest land animals in the world. Giraffes can reach aheight of 5, 5 m and a weight of 900 kg. They are famousfor their long necks. But does anybody know, that giraffeshave a very long tongue? They even can clean the earswith it! Giraffes are usually yellow or light brown withdark stains. Giraffes live in African savannas. They canlive from 20 to 30 years. It is interesting to know, thatgiraffes sleep only twenty minutes at a time. They sitdown on the ground and bend their long neck down.​

1. When I came to Pete's house last Sunday, he was reading a new book. He said he would give it to me soon. Today I have taken it from him. Now I am reading it. I will have finished it by Friday. If you like, I will give it to you on Saturday when you come to see me.
