- Our city-tour begins at the main street of the city – Nevsky prospect.

- What is the square on the right?
-  It is the Palace square – the main square of the city, which combines different styles of architecture.
- Is it Winter palace, that faces the Palace square?
- Of course! It is used to be the residence of Russian tzars and now is the part of the Hermitage.
- Where are we going now?
- We are going to look at a Bronze Horseman, a monument to Peter the Great, which is located on a Senate square.
 - I remember that this square was a place, where the first Russian revolution of 1825 happened. 
- You are absolutely right! On the opposite bank of the river Neva you’ll see the Academy of Arts.
- Where are these 2 sphinxes from?
- They are from Egypt. And now you have some free time to walk through the historical center and take amazing photos. I will wait you near the bus.

- Конечно! Раньше это была резиденция русских царей, а теперь это часть Эрмитажа. 
- Куда мы направляемся сейчас?
- Мы собираемся взглянуть на Медного всадника, памятник Петру I, который находится на Сенатской площади.
- Я помню, что именно на этой площади случилась первая русская революция в 1825 году.
- Вы абсолютно правы. А на противоположной стороне реки Невы находится Академия Искусств.
- Откуда эти сфинксы?
