In 1965 it received the title of a Hero City for an outstanding heroism of its citizens during World War II. And today this megalopolis is a political, business, scientific, touristic and cultural center of the entire country. By the way, though Moscow is considered a multinational city, about 90 percent of its population are the Russians.
