people always say that too much tv can give square eyes; of course, it is not true. this is just a way to prevent prolonged and mindless viewing which every child is quite capable of doing. the advantage of watching tv is a simple way to relax. you watch tv when you are tired and it helps to forget your problems. it also tells us what is happening in the world. it is a great way of spending free time. there are a lot of channels and you can see everything   you want - films, news, sport, games, shows and so on, 

but watching tv is a passive activity. you lie on the sofa and do nothing.  tv is a bad influence on people. especially on children and teenagers when parents don't pay attention what are they watching. we talk less. we are as a zombie - tv zombie.  it is not allowing us to think or create our own ideas.

instead of tv you can go to the museum. listen to the radio, read newspaper. 

as for me i like watching tv. i like watching films. especially i like detective and action films. but i try to watch tv not very often.

on week days i get my alarm-clock for a  quarter past seven but i get up at half-past seven. it  takes me about ten minutes to wash and get dressed and then i   go downstairs and have breakfast. usually for breakfast i drink a cup of tea and have some marmalade and a toast.   then quickly i sort out my books for the day and meet my friend at the corner of my street at ten past eight.

by twenty past eight we are at school and we are able to talk to out friends for twenty minutes before we have to go to our separate classes for registration at twenty minutes to nine.  at nine o’clock our lessons start. they last for forty-five minutes but then at eleven o’clock we have mid-morning breakfast for twenty  minutes and then have one more lesson before lunch-time.

  at twenty past twelve we have a lunch break and usually we all sit in the dining-hall and eat our sandwiches with our friends, or a few of us have school dinner. if the weather is i nice we sit in the playground and eat our lunch there.  we have two lessons from half-past one to half-past three and then it is home-time.

  after a tiring day at school i relax by sitting down and talking to my mother about my day until dinner is ready at five o’clock. after dinner i start my homework. i always have something to do, either to read a book, or to do some exercises or write an essay or learn for a test. by nine o’clock i always try to finish doing my homework so then i can relax by talking to my family and watching television. then i go to bed at half-past ten in order to be up bright and early the following day.

по будням я завожу будильник на четверть восьмого, но встаю я в половину восьмого. мне требуется около десяти минут, чтобы умыться и одеться, а затем я иду вниз позавтракать. обычно на завтрак я пью чашку чая и ем тост с джемом. затем я быстро собираю учебники и встречаюсь с другом на углу улицы в восемь часов десять минут.

в двадцать минут девятого мы уже в школе, и мы можем поболтать с друзьями в течение двадцати минут, прежде чем должны будем разойтись по классам без двадцати минут девять. в девять часов  — начало уроков. они длятся в течение сорока пяти минут, но в одиннадцать часов мы завтракаем в течение двадцати минут, а затем у нас еще один урок перед ланчем.

в 12 20 у нас перерыв на полдник, и обычно мы сидим в столовой с друзьями и едим сэндвичи, которые взяли из дома, несколько из нас берут полдник здесь – в столовой. если погода хорошая -мы сидим на детской площадке и едим там. затем у нас еще два урока до половины четвертого, а затем пришло время отправляться по домам.

после утомительного дня в школе я расслабляюсь, болтая с мамой о том, как прошел день, пока готовиться обед. после обеда я начинаю делать работу. мне всегда нужно что-то сделать: прочесть книгу, сделать , написать эссе или подготовиться к тесту. к девяти часам я всегда пытаюсь закончить работу, чтобы расслабиться и поболтать с членами моей семьи и посмотреть телевизор. затем я ложусь спать в половину одиннадцатого, чтобы проснуться полным сил утром следующего дня.
