joanne  rowling  is a british  novelist, best known as the author of the  harry potter  fantasy series.  born july 31, 1965 in  yate.  as a child, rowling often wrote fantasy stories, which she would usually then read to her sister.  in 2001, jk rowling for the book "harry potter and the goblet of fire" won the hugo award.   she is also a knight of the legion of honour (2009).  rowling is actively involved in charity work. in particular, it supports the foundation of single parents and the foundation for research in multiple sclerosis - a disease that her mother had died.

Thirty years ago almost nobody had a mobile phone. nowadays it seems everybody has one, from the youngest to the oldest. is this a good or a bad thing? mobile phones can be useful for a number of reasons. firstly, the allow us to communicate quickly in almost any situation. this can be really useful in emergencies, for example. furthermore, they make it easy for people who are alone to be in contact with others. finally, they are useful for other things, not just for making calls. for example, we can use them to listen to music, play games and take photos. but on the other hand people depend on them too much and make calls which are not really necessary.  to sum up, mobile phones have advantages but, on the other hand, they can also create problems. in my opinion life would be worse without them   because they always make our lives easier.
