we can’t image our life without travelling. thousands of people travel every day either on business or for pleasure. and i’m sure that it’s great to feel a million miles away from your problems and daily routine. speaking about my first journey i should say that it was the longest journey i had ever undertaken — it lasted 31 hours. it was a trip from the ukraine to bulgaria five years ago. that was a remarkable journey during which i crossed the borders of three countries. my mother and i were travelling together to a seaside resort. that was a coach journey and to our delight, the coach was fitted with certain comforts, such as: air condition (conditioning), self-reclining seats, tv entertainment and etc. on the way we had to pass passport and customs control several times which required at least an hour in each case. in bulgaria we stopped in a wonderful five-star hotel. our room was tidy and very comfortable! from the balcony we had a magnificent view of the sea. speaking about the food, it was delicious and variable (diverse). but most of all i loved our warm and clean pool. it was big, with sea water. the sea was also warm. i made sandcastles at the seaside and collected shells. one more thing that i really liked was the picturesque mountains. their view was breathtaking. in fact it’s rather difficult to speak about my impressions, because they are too numerous. but i hope that in future i’ll visit the most famous and beautiful places.

My name is ( своё имя) . i’m 13 ( свой возраст ) years old. i’ve been fond of cartoons from the very childhood and i still like watching some of them. i think, cartoons entertain us and keep us busy for some time, which is good for our parents. my parents also like cartoons. they sometimes watch them with me. my favourite cartoon is “tom and jerry”. it’s not too childish, so people of all ages can watch it. the main characters of this cartoon are the cat tom and the mouse jerry. each time tom sees jerry, he tries to catch him, but unsuccessfully. jerry is a little, smart mouse. he gets away with any prank. the reason, why i like this cartoon more than others, is its kind and funny plot. each time i watch it, it makes me smile and laugh, so good mood for the day is provided. when i was younger, i also watched “tom and jerry”. knowing that i’m fond of this cartoon, my mum often bought me various thematic items. for example, a plate or a t-shirt with tom and jerry picture. i can’t say i liked tom’s character more than jerry’s, or vice versa. i liked both these characters, as they were good in their own way. tom often gets in stupid situations while chasing a tricky mouse and that makes me feel sorry for him. jerry’s mission is not to get caught, because if he does, the cat will probably eat him. so, when i watch the series of this cartoon, i worry about both characters at the same extent. i’m sure i’m not the only child, who likes “tom and jerry”. millions of kids across the world watch this cartoon. due to its popularity, it has been translated into many languages

New year’s day is the best time for me to spend with my family in the magical and festive atmosphere, with delicious food. schoolchildren love this time because it’s a great start оf their winter vacation. when i was a small child i wrote letters to father frost and asked him for some sweets and a toy as a present. i also painted new year greeting cards and put them under my parents’ pillows. перевод: новый год – это лучшее время для меня, чтобы провести его со своей семьей в волшебной и праздничной атмосфере, с изумительной едой. школьники любят это время, потому что это прекрасное начало зимних каникул. когда я был маленьким, я писал письма деду морозу и просил у него сладости и игрушку в подарок. я также рисовал новогодние открытки и клал их под подушки родителей.
