Tom and his family are in Barcelona for their summer holidays. They are staying at a beautiful hotel near the beach. They love Barcelona and visit it every summer. The weather is great there this time of the year. It's always warm and sunny. In July the temperature varies from 18°C to 25°C. In August it sometimes gets very hot and the temperature goes up to 38°C! When Tom and his family are on holiday they usually go swimming in the afternoon. Tom loves fishing and his dad likes windsurfing! His mum likes sunbathing and she usually lies on the beach for hours. Today is a special day for Tom. His favourite team, FC Barcelona, are playing against Liverpool. Tom and his dad are at the stadium. They are very excited. They are wearing hats and T-shirts with the flag of Barcelona on them. They are drinking Coke and eating popcorn. They are sitting next to many Barcelona fans and they are all singing!

Winters are mild here. The first snow falls at the beginning of December. It quickly melts though. There are some really cold days in January and February. I like the days when the sun is shining but it’s frosty outside. My friends and I go sledding or snowballing on such days.
