hobbies make our life more colourful. my favourite hobby is drawing. i started drawing when i was five. it is my own little world. it has always been fun for me. when i grew older i began to attend our local kids art club. on sundays, we sometimes visited art galleries or art exhibitions with our art teacher. we also went on trips to the fields, a river or a forest to meet nature face to face. our teacher told us much about different painters and their paintings. he taught us to draw and to paint different things, animals and people, landscapes. drawing brings me real satisfaction. in the art club, i have made friends with many boys and girls. some of my friends believe that sometimes art helps to cope with problems. i think that art develops our imagination and creativity. mostly i am fond of still-lives and landscapes. my friends and relatives are always amazed at my pictures and they find them unique. i am happy i have found a joyful hobby for myself. it helps me to rest, to relax and to learn a lot of new and interesting things in the club.

хобби делают нашу жизнь красочнее. мое любимое хобби - рисование. я начала рисовать, когда мне было пять. это мой собственный маленький мир. мне всегда было весело рисовать. когда я подросла, я стала посещать наш местный детский кружок искусств. по воскресеньям мы иногда посещали художественные галереи или художественные выставки с нашим учителем по искусству. мы также ездили на экскурсии на поля, на речку или в лес, чтобы встретиться с природой лицом к лицу. наш учитель много рассказывал о разных художниках и их картинах. он учил нас рисовать карандашом и красками разные вещи, животных, людей, пейзажи. рисование приносит мне настоящее удовлетворение. в арт-клубе, я подружилась со многими мальчиками и девочками. некоторые мои друзья считают, что иногда искусство справиться с проблемами. я думаю, что искусство развивает наше воображение и творчество. в основном я увлекаюсь натюрмортами и пейзажами. мои друзья и родственники всегда поражаются моим картинам, и находят их уникальными. я счастлива, что нашла для себя интересное хобби. оно мне отдохнуть, расслабиться и узнать много нового и интересного в клубе.

  ( ловушка мира: вымирающие животные)  endangered speciesevery year the number of endangered species steadily grows. it would be good to define what the community of endangered species is. it is a population of organisms which is at risk of becoming extinct. more than 40 percent of all organisms are likely to become extinct soon, which is unbelievable. some of them are simply few in numbers, some are threatened by changing environment. in most cases animal extinction, as well as other natural calamities, is a result of human actions. many habitats are being destroyed around the world. it seems that endangered wildlife is everywhere around us. to think only that these cute little polar bears at the zoo are gradually going to become extinct. human activity has strong influence on the process of animal extinction. people chop down numerous forests, leaving certain species without shelter and their natural habitat. they also build newer and newer factories, which release chemical wastes into ocean water. as a result, thousands of sea animal die out. moreover, people often overexploit animals, buying and selling their valuable parts, such as skin, teeth, fat, tusks. domestic animals are also badly treated. if people continue treating our environment in such way, we will soon be trapped in ecological disaster. there are many reasons for rare species’ conservation. firstly, they have aesthetic value. secondly, they are useful from medical point of view. and, finally, the ecology of our planet literally depends on them.

Everyone had some accidents at least once in his life, and  i am not an exception.  it happened to me 5  years ago, i was 10 years old at that moment. just as  summer  began, i went to the summer camp where i always spent my holidays.   i met my friends there again  and we had fun together, we swam in the river, sunbathed, played football and took part in different competitions. one day, while i was sitting with my friends on the bench, we heard a girl crying. she was younger than we were and she looked so sad.  i suggested my friends going there and asking the girl what had happened to her. she told us that her kitten had climbed   the tree to catch a bird. however, the bird wasn't  caught because it had flown away. and the kitten could not get down to the ground and cried.  my friends just  listened to the story and decided to go away, but i felt for the girl and her unlucky kitten. hoping that i would be luckier, i decided to climb up the tree and save the kitten. it had been the first time i climbed such a high tree, by the way. so as i was very close to the kitten i took him with my hand. suddenly the branch where i was sitting cracked and broke and i fell down to the ground.  as a result, i broke my hand and was taken to a local hospital. but i wasn't dissapointed  at all, because the kitten was saved.
