Перевести today most of us are pretty used to the moon, there it is in the sky — crescent (растущая) or half or years ago people lived by the changing phases of moon. they kept calendars and holidays by the moon. they planted seed in the spring's new moon and harvested in the autumn's full moon. and fisherman all over the world told the morrow's (завтрашний) weather by the moon. for many people the moon long remained a mysterious heavenly body that could bring good fortune or ill. it could bring good luck if it was a new moon and you had silver coins in your pocket to jingle (звон a new moon was also the time to make a wish, take a trip, go a-courting, or cut your hair. but the moon could bring bad luck, too. if you saw a woman combing her hair in the light of the full moon, or you planted seed during the full moon, you would have bad luck. almost everyone believed if you slept with moonlight on your face, you'd go crazy. indeed any people believe this that we get the word lunatic from the word for moon, luna. today, of course, we know that none to these things is true. you can asleep in the moonlight and wake up as normal as you were yesterday.you might harvest your crops in the full moon with poor results or harvest in a sickle moon and do well. you might start your vacation on during the new moon and have a flat tire right away. nevertheless, there it the moon, hanging up there in the sky, seeming to change its shape before our very eyes. no wonder people continue to be fascinated by it. since the beginning of time, they have tried to explain how it got there and why it behaves the way it does. the first people to try to explain the creation and behaviour of the moon were tribal poets and storytellers. there are hundreds of folktales about the moon.

Сегодня большинство из нас привыкли к луне. растущая,полумесяц или полная,она располагается на небе. много лет назад люди жили согласно меняющимся лунным фазам. по луне создавались календари и соблюдались праздники. они сеяли урожай по весеннему новолунию и собирали его в осеннее полнолуние. по луне рыбаки всего мира предсказывали погоду завтрашнего дня. для многих луна долгое время представляла собой мистическое небесное тело,которое могло принести как удачу,так и болезни. удача возможна была в том случае,если в новолуние у тебя в кармане оказывались серебряные монетки. новолуние также было хорошим временем для загадывания желаний,поездок,свиданий и стрижки волос. но луна могла принести и несчастья. если вы видели женщину,расчёсывающую свои волосы в свете полной луны или сеяли урожай в полнолуние,вам грозили неудачи. почти все верили,что если во время сна вам на лицо падает лунный свет,вы сойдёте с ума. потому и возникло слово "лунатик". сегодня,конечно,мы знаем,что в этих словах нет правды. вы можете заснуть под лунным светом и проснуться таким же нормальным,как и были вчера. и в полнолуние вы можете собрать бедный урожай,а при молодой луне -- богатый. вы можете начать свой отпуск в новолуние и сразу проколоть шину. тем не менее,луна,висящая там,на небе,меняет свой облик на глазах. не удивительно,что она продолжает очаровывать. ещё издревле люди пытались понять,как она попала туда и почему так себя ведёт. первыми людьми,кто пытался объяснить появление и поведение луны,были поэты и сказочники. о луне сложены сотни народных преданий.

thank you for your letter. i also had a very nice autumn holiday which lasted for a week. there was still enough time to relax and get ready for the new school term. we didn't have to go to school, we didn't have to get up early, we had plenty of free time for our favourite activities. it's a pity they are over and school lessons have started again. well, together with my friends, i went to a horror movie. it was so fascinating! now i understand why people like 3d films! it was really fantastic! by the way, my dog gave birth to two puppies. they are so cute! unfortunately, my parents don't allow me to leave them at home. a friend of mine, sasha by name, organized a cool birthday party where we listened to music, enjoyed delicious food and had fun. during the holidays i went to a swimming-pool twice, spent a lot of time hanging out with my friends outside just in the open air. when the weather was rainy i read an interesting book, played computer games and chatted with my friends on social networks. i also helped mum and dad about the house, visited my grandma. i think that's all for now. what about you? how did you start the new term? be healthy and successful.

за твоё письмо. у меня также были хорошие осенние каникулы, в течение недели. было достаточно времени, чтобы отдохнуть и подготовиться к новому учебному семестру. не нужно было ходить в школу, рано вставать, было много свободного времени на любимые занятия. жаль, что каникулы закончились и снова начались школьные занятия. ну, вместе с друзьями я ходил на фильм ужасов. это было так увлекательно! теперь я понимаю, почему люди любят 3d-фильмы! это была фантастика! кстати, моя собака родила двух щенков. они такие симпатичные! к сожалению, родители не разрешают мне оставлять их дома. мой друг саша, организовал классный день рождения, где мы слушали музыку, наслаждались вкусной едой и веселились. во время каникул я дважды ходил в бассейн, проводил много времени с друзьями на свежем воздухе. в дождливую погоду я прочитал интересную книгу, играл в компьютерные игры и общался с друзьями в социальных сетях. я также маме и папе по дому, навещал бабушку. думаю, на сегодня все. как дела у тебя? как начался новый семестр? здоровья тебе и успехов!

The amazing and extraordinary city of London is the huge heart of Britain, with its breathtakingly beautiful sights and hospitable citizens. Despite the fact that 65 years ago, after the Great Smog, an unusual nickname "The Big Smoke" was established for the city, today you can behold wonderful high-developed metropolis with clean streets. To have a good time in the capital it is highly recommended to bring an umbrella, as the city is known for its raininess.

Many centuries London was going from one lordship to another, and many destructions and recoveries were sustained. There is a starting point in the history of the city that signifies the beginning of the rise of the city. It is a coming of Wilhelm the Conqueror in 1066 who started the construction of famous Tower, which attracts many tourists all around the world.

Furthermore, we can observe one more reference in history which is connected with the whole reconstruction after The Great Plague and the Great Fire of London that falls on the ХVIII century.

As many tourists choose exactly London for the purpose of traveling, let’s plunge into exploring the famous sights and attractions of the metropolis. Firstly, the most visited sights in the western Europe are Tower and Tower’s Bridge, which are the symbols and signs of the city. Secondly, it’s hard to imagine someone who hadn’t heard about Big Ben, famous London’s clocks. It’s like a visiting card of the city. Thirdly, the famous majestic church built in the Gothic style, Westminster Abbey and the residence of British monarchs – Buckingham palace.
