Apple ingredients:   6 medium sized apples peeled/cored/sliced into 1cm pieces   1/3 cup butter (cubed at room temperature) 1/2 cup flour 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 tsp cinnamon 3/4 tsp nutmeg   method:   preheat the oven to 180c/350f. in a separate bowl, mix the flour and butter together, this should roughly resemble bread crumbs. place the fruit in a large bowl and sprinkle over the sugar, 1 tbsp flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.  stir well being careful not to break up the fruit. butter a 24cm ovenproof dish.  spoon the fruit mixture into the bottom, then sprinkle the crumble mixture on top. bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the crumble is browned and the fruit mixture bubbling.  serve with thick cream.
