Ithink a genious is more intelligent (in some subject)  than an average person. he is very clever and very quickly understands things in this field. i also guess a genious must be curious to learn new things and like to study very much. (я думаю, гений более умный, чем обычный человек в какой-то области наук. он сообразительный и быстро все схватывает в этой области. думаю также, что гений должен быть любознательным и должен любить учиться.) to my mind, you can't become a genious. it's a god's gift. mr. smith is an old man. he has recently retired and so he's got a lot of time for travelling. he сame to moscow as a tourist. now he is sitting in the hotel hall and talking to leonid petrov, his guide.

petrov asked if it is mr. smith's first visit in moscow.

mr. smith answered that it is his first visit, but he've heard about moscow from his father before, his father was in moscow before the revolution. mr. smith curious when moscow became the capital and he asked the guide about it.

petrov answered that moscow only became the capital in 1918.

mr. smith said that the city has changed very much. he mentioned that it's hard to recognize any of the streets and squares. he said he doesn't think young people like petrov remember the dirty, narrow streets that his father saw in the suburbs, and in the centre too during his visit.

petrov responded that he doesn't remember moscow looking like that. he also wondered what mr. smith will say he will see the new district in the south - west of the city.

mr. smith mentioned that he has heard about it from his friend. his friend told him that it was a beautiful place with wide, straight streets and many gardens. mr. smith also asked if they are going to go there.

petrov replied that they are going to see it on the way to the new building of moscow university.
