Pros and Cons of Deforestation

Scientists say that six thousand years ago more than two-thirds of central and northern Europe was covered by forest. Since that time more than half of those forests have disappeared due to an increased demand for agricultural land and the use of wood fuel. Sadly, our planet keeps losing its green cover and deforestation is a serious issue having its pros and cons.

One of the positive impacts of deforestation is that farmers can use more land to grow crops. It is a well-known fact that recently cleared land produces better yields of crops. Besides, deforested land is used for raising cattle. Another reason for cutting forests is that people need more space to build new cities and roads. The next benefit is lumber used to make furniture and build houses.

At the same time there are a few cons. Firstly, because of deforestation thousands of species of insects, plants and animals are becoming extinct. Secondly, it contributes to global warming and leads to soil erosion, flooding and droughts. Thirdly, when we destroy animal habitats, we push them closer and closer to our dwellings. This leads to new diseases spreading and killing millions of people. The most recent example is COVID-19.

In conclusion, while there are pros to cutting forests, we should consider potential consequences of all our activities.

We all love going to the zoo, but what about animals? How do they feel at zoos? Should we keep animals in zoos or is it wrong to take them out of their natural habitat?

On the one hand, zoos play an important role in the conservation of nature. Many natural habitats are in danger. By keeping endangered species in zoos, we help them to survive. In addition, a good zoo can be very informative, it teaches us how animals behave and how they act in their natural habitat. So it's good when we're looking at zoos as one of the ways to protect endangered species .

On the other hand, keeping animals in the zoo has its drawbacks. Zoos can't recreate the natural habitat and animals can be very depressed living in their cages. It would be better to spend more money to protect the natural habitat. In addition, there are many good documentaries about animals, so zoos are not so important for education.

To sum up, there are strong arguments both for and against zoos. These days, zoos are the best protection for endangered animals. However, I believe that animals should live in their natural environment and people should do their best to protect wild animals' habitat and make more reserves and national parks for saving wild nature.

Мы все любим ходить в зоопарк, но как насчет животных?  Как они себя чувствуют в зоопарках? Должны ли мы держать животных в зоопарках или неправильно выводить их из естественной среды обитания? С одной стороны, зоопарки играют важную роль в сохранении природы. Многие природные места обитания находятся в опасности. Сохраняя исчезающие виды в зоопарках, мы им выжить. Кроме того, хороший зоопарк может быть очень информативным, он учит нас, как ведут себя животные и как они ведут себя в естественной среде обитания. Это хорошо, когда мы рассматриваем зоопарки как один из защиты исчезающих видов. С другой стороны, содержание животных в зоопарке имеет свои недостатки. Зоопарки не могут воссоздать естественную среду обитания, и животные могут быть очень подавлены, живя в своих клетках. Было бы лучше потратить больше денег, чтобы защитить естественную среду обитания. Подводя итог, мы видим, что есть веские аргументы как за, так и против зоопарков. В наши дни зоопарки являются лучшей защитой для находящихся под угрозой исчезновения животных. Тем не менее, я считаю, что животные должны жить в своей естественной среде, и люди должны делать все возможное, чтобы защитить среду обитания диких животных и сделать больше заповедников и национальных парков для сохранения дикой природы.

За до комп'ютерів можна писати книги, листи і звіти, зберігати велику інформацію (на зразок списків, адрес і баз даних), робити складні розрахунки, конструювати техніку, малювати, редагувати фотографії і ще багато чого іншого ... В даний час практично всі організації в світі використовують комп'ютер.

Майже будь-яку роботу, виконану на комп'ютері, можна побачити на екрані монітора. А при бажанні, результати роботи можна роздрукувати на папері за до принтера. Але можна і навпаки, будь-який документ або малюнок ввести в комп'ютер за до сканера (аркуш паперу сканується на спеціальному екрані сканера, після чого цей документ з'являється в комп'ютері). Крім цього, будь-яку інформацію з комп'ютера можна вивести не тільки в друкованому, але і в електронному вигляді. Для цього використовуються комп'ютерні диски і флешки. За до них можна переносити інформацію з одного комп'ютера на інший або переглядати дані на екрані телевізора (наприклад, фільми, фотографії, музика і т.д.).
