78-year-old grouch Carl Fredriksen believes that life bypasses him. To keep the promise made to his deceased wife, he decides to fulfill his dream of a great adventure by tying thousands of balloons to his house and flying into the wilds of South America. Before flying half a mile, the traveler discovers that he inadvertently took with him an extremely talkative and incorrigibly cheerful 8-year-old boy named Russell…

My opinion about the cartoon is Up:

What usually captivates fairy tales, especially Disney fairy tales, everything ends there "and they lived happily ever after", but Pixar lands us a little and shows more life stories in its cartoons (not counting fiction). The cartoon Up begins with a fairly brief story about the life of Carl Fredriksen, an insanely romantic and happy life, not counting the grief that they could not have children and the death of his beloved wife. The cartoon also shows how life can change if you start pretending dreams into reality, of course all the adventures of Mr. Fredriksen and the boy scout Russell are funny and fantastic. They help not only to reveal all the main characters, but also show how Karl himself is changing, who has found a new meaning in life (Russell has become for him the son grandson he never had).The cartoon "UP" turned out to be very sincere, kind and cheerful (albeit with a drop of drama). I recommend it for family viewing!
