What i like most about england is the civilized quality of living there, the comfort and convenience of the public transport, the english pubs, and the milk and newspapers delivered to your door. i still remember roast angus, and a wine bar in the strand where we used to go every wednesday to eat stilton. there are values which must be preserved if england becomes continental — and this is quite likely, when we get our cooking from paris, our politics from moscow and our morals from cairo. as soon as we stop to cite john ruskin. to tune london and mccartney, to role-play a shakespeare and to trust in time, we are the lost nation on the way to nowhere!

Что мне больше всего нравится в Англии, так это цивилизованное качество жизни там, комфорт и удобство общественного транспорта, английские пабы, а также молоко и газеты, доставляемые к вам. Я до сих пор помню жареный Ангус и винный бар на берегу, где мы каждую среду ездили поесть за Стилтоном. Есть ценности, которые необходимо сохранить, если Англия станет континентальной - и это весьма вероятно, когда мы получим нашу готовку из Парижа, нашу политику из Москвы и нашу мораль из Каира. Как только мы перестанем цитировать Джона Раскина. Настраивать Лондон и Маккартни, играть роль Шекспира и верить во Время, мы - потерянная нация на пути в никуда!

Now I'd like to tell you about my  winter holidays.  This year I'm spending my vocation with my friend. And I really enjoy it. I'm staying at her place. Her house is very big and comfortable. And there is a big garden near it. In winter her mum always does an ice rink.  So we will skate there tomorrow.  Moreover there is a good place for skiing.  So I couldn't help skiing. It was wonderful. And  now we are oreparing for Christmas. Every year I spent it with my family but this year I will celebrate it with my friend, so I need to think about everything,  for example, food, presents, her house decoration and others. I'm sure that it will be great. I hope everything will be cool. 

Tomorrow this time I shall be flying to New York.
Don’t disturb me in the evening, I’ll be preparing for exam.
