Halloween is a popular Christian holiday which is celebrated on October, 31. It is rather old. In fact, it's been celebrated since the 16th century and many people believe that it derives from the ancient Gaelic harvest festival Samhain.

Originally it was celebrated in countries of the British Isles, then it spread to North America and nowadays people from all over the world enjoy it.

Halloween activities include dressing up in scary clothes, carving pumpkins into special lamps - jack-o'-lanterns, telling scary stories and watching horror films and, of course, going trick-or-treating, when children travel from house to house asking for candies by saying "Trick or treat".

Although Halloween is not so popular in Russia, I still like this tradition because, in my opinion, it's a great way for people of all ages to have fun. We can also be creative and show our talents while preparing Halloween costumes or home decorations. On the whole, Halloween is a great holiday.
