Present Simple:

do/does + V ( Начальная форма глагола)

Пример: Я работаю каждые выходные

I work every weekend

Past Simple:

did + Ved/V2 (2 форма глагола (если он неправильный) или окончание ed)

Пример: Я работал каждые выходные

I worked every weekend

Для того чтобы образовать Past Simple, мы добавляем к глаголу окончание -ed, если глагол правильный (work – worked, learn – learned, ask – asked). Если глагол неправильный, то мы ищем форму для Past Simple во второй колонке таблицы неправильных глаголов. Скорее всего, на первых порах вам будет трудно сразу определить, какой перед вами глагол. Неправильный глагол вы найдете в таблице. Если же его там нет, он правильный.

I/He/She/It/We/You/They + 2-я форма глагола

I played. – Я играл.

He told. – Он говорил.

She stopped. – Она остановилась.

It worked. – Оно работало.

We discussed. – Мы обсудили.

You did. – Вы сделали.

They forgot. – Они забыли.

В отрицательном предложении в Past Simple появляется вс глагол did (вторая форма неправильного глагола do) и частица not. В английском предложении только один глагол может быть в времени, поэтому, как только появляется did, основной глагол принимает форму инфинитива без частички to (go, look, feel).

I/He/She/It/We/You/They + did not + инфинитив

I did not play. – Я не играл.

He did not tell. – Он не говорил.

She did not stop. – Она не остановилась.

It did not work. – Оно не работало.

We did not discuss. – Мы не обсудили.

You did not do. – Вы не сделали.

They did not forget. – Они не забыли.

для образования утвердительного предложения нужно взять английский глагол без частицы to, либо же добавить к нему окончание –s/es для 3 лица единственного числа, т.е. он, она, оно – he, she, it; и поставить его после субъекта (того, кто исполняет действие).

Смотрите пример:

I drive to work every day. – Я еду на машине на работу каждый день.

He drives to another city every day. – Каждый день он ездит в другой город.

Что касается отрицательных и вопросительных предложений, то здесь появляются глаголы или вс глаголы, как их часто называют (auxiliary verbs): do и does + not (если это отрицание).

В вопросительных предложениях мы ставим do или does в начало предложения. Does используется для he, she, it. Для всех остальных – do.

Плюс пропадает окончание –s/es в 3 лице ед.числа.

Например:

Do they go to school at weekends? – Они ходят в школу по выходным?

Do you need a dictionary? – Тебе нужен словарь?
