A work on "My hobby is cooking"

Many people have a hobby. A hobby is something that brings us joy and peace of mind. Rather, it is a hobby - something that we always do enthusiastically, in our spare time.

In addition, I would like to say that each person can have different favorite activities, ie hobbies. Someone likes to read, someone to dance, this list can be continued indefinitely.

For example, my dad loves fishing. Almost every weekend he tries to find time for his favorite activity. In addition, his hobby is profitable. From fishing, it brings a great catch, so our family can always eat delicious fish. Mom sells some of the fish to a friend. She is very pleased that Dad's hobby is feeding his family and generating little income.

But my mom is very fond of cooking. She bakes such delicious pies and cookies. You won't buy such a wonderful pastry at the store. Mom says that cooking and baking brings her real pleasure. We kids are very happy that our mom is such a useful and most importantly a delicious hobby.

I, like my mom, love cooking. True mom especially does not allow me to work in the kitchen, but when I go on vacation with my grandmother, no one bothers me to bake pies and make cakes. My grandmother praises me very much and says I have a talent for cooking.

I am very pleased with her words, and perhaps my future profession will be related to the food industry. I dream of becoming a chef at a restaurant. My grandmother supports me and says that a person should do the work to which his soul lies.

Cooking is my calling. And I'm proud that I have a favorite thing to do. Moreover, at such a young age, I cook and bake perfectly. And most of all, I like it all. On my birthday, I baked a huge cake myself, which was very popular with all the guests. Of course, to make it faster and easier, Mom helped me a little with biscuits.

I think I will never leave my favorite activity. And it will be a thing of my life

There are very many large cities in the USA.

Washington, the capital of the United States of America, is situated on the Potomac River. In comparison with such ancient historical cities as, for example, Rome, London, Moscow or Paris, Washington is quite young. The capital owes much to the first Presidento f the USA — George Washington. It was G. Washington, who chose the place for the capital and laid in 1790 the corner-stone of the Capitol, where Congress sits. Washington has many historical places. The largest and highest among the buildings is the Capitol with its great House of Representatives and the Senate chamber. There are no sky-scrapers in Washington because no other building must be higher than the Capital.

New York is the largest city in the USA and the biggest sea-port. It is situated in the mouth of the Hudson River. New York was founded by the Dutch. It is interesting to know that Manhattan Island — the central part of New York — was bought from the local Indians by the Dutch for 24 dollars. That was the most profitable commercial deal in the US history. Today Manhattan is the heart of business and commercial life of the country. New York is the city of skyscrapers. The highest of them is the 102–storeyed building. There are many other places of interest in New York: Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, the shopping districts and the United Nations Building. In Manhattan, at Broadway, there is Columbia University, one of the biggest universities of the USA
