Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is one of the most famous and significant classical composers in Russia. He is considered the first Russian composer who produced a strong impression internationally.He was born on 7 May 1840 in Votkinsk. Tchaikovsky wrote popular concertos, ballets, symphonies, operas and chamber music. One of the most well-known compositions is "The Nutcracker Suite" with its "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Waltz of the Flowers". It was written as a ballet.
