Clothes are an important part of modern life. It’s hard to imagine how people can live without clothes. There are various styles of clothes nowadays, so people can choose what to wear on different occasions. Одежда является  

As for me, I have a good collection of clothes in my wardrobe. There are a couple of school suits which are of classic style. Then I have some jeans and T-shirts for casual days. And at last, I have a couple of bright dresses for parties or special occasions.  

Most of all I like wearing ordinary jeans with matching shirts. I think it’s not only convenient but also stylish. As for shoes, I prefer wearing sports shoes or sneakers but I need to wear some classic black shoes to school. I don’t like high heels because they are uncomfortable.

Итак, у прилагательных как в русском, так и в английском есть три степени сравнения: положительная (как будет на английском, к сожалению, сейчас не вспомню), сравнительная (comparative) и превосходная (superlative). Теперь по порядку о каждой.

1. Положительная степень сравнения - это просто прилагательное в своей начальной форме, без оттенков. Например, большой (big) или важный (important).

The elephant is big - слон большой

2. Если мы хотим сказать, что признак чего-то сильнее, чем тот же признак у чего-то другого, мы используем сравнительную степень. Например, больше (bigger) или важнее (more important).

Если в прилагательном меньше двух слогов, к нему добавляется суффикс "-er": cooler, nicer, prettier; если больше, то само прилагательное не меняется, а перед ним ставится "more": more beautiful, more intelligent. После прилагательного в сравнительной степени всегда ставится "than" (чем)!

The elephant is bigger than the lizard - слон больше, чем ящерица.

3. Если признак объекта сильнее, чем признак всех остальных объектов, нам нужна превосходная степень. Например, самый большой (the biggest) или самый важный (the most important).

Опять же, если в прилагательном меньше двух слогов, к нему добавляется суффикс "-est": the coolest, the nicest, the prettiest; если больше, то само прилагательное не меняется, а перед ним ставится "the most": the most beautiful, the most intelligent. Перед прилагательным в превосходной степени всегда стоит "the"!

The elephant is the biggest animal in this zoo - слон - самое большое животное в этом зоопарке.
