my most treasured pоssessionevery one has something which is very important and preciоus. my most precious possession is the first rank in class. i knоw coming first may be temporary, but i hope, not for me. i have and will always try to come first in class because: winners never quit and quitters never win.everyone in my family, my teachers, my friends are very happy and so am i because in all weekly tests and in the first terminal exam i stoоd first.now our final terms are coming nearer and nearer and we all are becoming tense, but i will keep my nerves and wоrk hard to score maximum marks and maintain my position in rank. i am also anxious because my friends have become my competitors. isn’t this very worrying? i must ensure that the first rank belongs to me, forever.

jen and her friends are not at college today.

jen is on the beach. she's waving to her boyfriend, rick.

rick and jen's friends are in the sea.

rick's favourite sport is surfing.

jen walks along the beach.

she puts the yellow mask and snorkel on her face. jen takes a big breath and dives under the water.

suddenly she stops. she sees a dolphin. it cannot swim. the dolphin is in a net she pulls the net from the dolphin. the dolphin is out of the net. jen is happy. she tells rick about the dolphin.

next day everybody is swimming. the lifeguard watches the sea. suddenly, he shouts loudly.

— shark! quick! get out of the water!

the shark is swimming towards the people. the shark comes towards rick.

now the shark is fifteen meters away. suddenly, they see another fin in the water. it is a dolphin! the dolphin is swimming towards the shark. the dolphin hits the shark. the shark swims away. rick and jen are safe.

— thanks, dolphin! thanks for saving us!

my husband picks up a local newspaper every morning from a

vending machine on our the way to work.the other morning,the girl who

appeared to be about six was in front of him in a line, buying a paper for her

mother, who was sitting in the car. the… child put money for one paper in a

slot and took two newspapers! my husband said to her, “oh, is this two-for-

one day? ”the child did not reply. she just took the two newspapers to her mother.

this is stealing, pure and simple. i wonder what this mother is going to

think when her daughter becomes a teen and gets arrested for shop-lifting

at a mall? i suppose she’ll wonder where her daughter got an idea that it is ok

to take something without paying for it.

the mother missed an_opportunity to teach her child right from wrong. if

the child took an extra newspaper in error, the mother should have instructed her

to put it back. however, if she put the child up to it – shame on her.
