It goes without saying that life was much more difficult before technology had developed as much as it has now. Many years ago we couldn’t keep in touch withe people easily. But today everything is different.
On the one hand, nowadays technology is a big part of our life and modern people just can’t leave without it. I agree that technology makes our life more convenient, interesting, and easy. But on the other hand, there is a lot of radiation from TVs computers, mobiles and other technological devices. We also shouldn’t forget that technology makes us lazy. I can’t understand my friends who would rather spend their time in front of the computer than go for a walk with me.
As for me, I like modern technology. Now, with computers and e-mail I never have to lose contact with anyone. I can travel from one place to another quickly and safely. Because of television everyone had information about the world around them. It’s difficult to imagine my life without technology, but I can. I know how to say “Stop” to myself. It’s very important.
To make a conclusion, I’d like to say that technology will change our life for the better but we shouldn’t forget about out human qualities.

B) 20 millions Americans joined in the demonstration that day in 1970 - T:  "That day, 20 million Americans participated in rallies, demonstrations to show  their support for the protection of our health and our environment."

C) Global warming is not real today - F: "Global warming is real today"

D) The new clean air standards in the USA address not only the vehicles that people drive but the fuels they use - T: "And for the first time, those standards address not only the vehicles that people  drive, but the fuels they use."

E) The investmant made in the Energy Star Programme will not help to reduce harmful pollutants - F: "Over the next decade alone, because of the investment made in the Energy Star  Programme, Americans will save more that 24 billion dollars and help reduce millions of tons of harmful pollutants."

F) Americans say that they shold solve the ecological problems - T: "Such ecological problems will not be solved by government. They will not be  solved by business. They will be solved by us."

My favourite video film is “Titanic”. It tells the story of a famous ship, the “Titanic”, which sank in 1912. The “Titanic” was a colossal ship even by modern standards. Its tragic sinking will always be remembered, for the ship went down on the first voyage with heavy losses.
The director of the film is James Cameron. The main parts in the film are played by young actors Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet. To my mind their acting is superb. The camerawork is fantastic, too. I’ve heard that they made a full-size model of the “Titanic” for this film.
It’s a very spectacular film. It is also a moving love-story. I advise all my friends to see “Titanic”. The film was awarded 11 Oscars and I’m sure it deserves every one of them.
